A Video Baby Monitor is a wireless monitoring system used to remotely listen and watch an infant. The transmitter, equipped with a camera and a microphone, is placed near to the child and the receiver equipped with a monitor and speaker, is carried by, or placed near to, the person caring for the infant.
Some video baby monitors are bi-directional(two-ways), using transceivers that allow the caregiver to speak back to the baby (parent talk-back). Some allow music to be played to the child.
